The old days...

Post by Jovan » Sun Apr 02, 2006 3:09 am

Reading back on old posts. The high council ones, etc...I miss old SWG. :( Miss how it all used to be and the people. Just thought I would say so. :P

I still think that SWG was the most sociable of games. Not necessarily the people in it but the way the game allowed cities and stuff. Pity SOE are rubbish at running mmorpgs

Aye, a nostalgic tread through the old HC forum always makes me pine for the old days.

Said it more than once on the GC of RFO. SWG is still the best mmo I've played (until the stupid old man from the desert showed). I miss it. Hopefully Vanguard is going to be "The One".

from what I heard of Vanguard its gonna cater to the REALLY hardcore people. In a way that makes WoW look casual friendly which it really isnt...but of course thats only what I heard.

Yeah heard that too Geran, but for me that is not a problem, I not mind not being top of the tree as long as the small things are there for me that wow lacks, player housing (miss that so much) pvp that is not so contrived it is not <img src="/forums/images/smilies/icon_albino.gif" /> true (best pvp I have had in AGES is pissing about in the arena) complex crafting, although I am not apt at this I sure as hell appriciated what it did for SWG, that is just plain missing in WoW.

Do not get me wrong wow is a very well made game and I do play it WAY to many hours a day..... It just is not the old SWG :(

Maybe, an emulator is in the making and a new Chimarea is already being planned.

Still wont get alot of the old community back, more than likely end up with alot of the tards on the SOE servers moving over to see what all the fuss was about.

been talking to a friend who played another server but pre cu and cu and we both miss the old days. i was never in sfr when most of you were but miss the friendship and the social scene and the complex crafting. RF hasn't hooked me yet but better they get my tenner than SOE.

Wow, I'm in :-)

But how will they be able to avoid SOE's lawyers - there's no way they can maintain it without subs...
