Re: SWG - EMU section
Is it anymore more than a pipedream?
This was supposed to have been out 3 years ago. Hell most of us have done a whole playing another main mmo and even past that in the time this was "nearly ready".

Re: SWG - EMU section
Not sure how it could of been out 3 years ago lol, making a game from scratch doesn't happen over night, and yes it's still well in the pipeline, there is a test server open and completely playable, pretty much done most things, just a few things to add in, but they have done so well!!! The test server is capped at 1000 players, and thats always full.
Soon SWGemu will have 'Suncrusher server open' this will be their final playable server, and then others servers will be dished out (Euro-chim) etc.
Have a feeling people will flood in to play, SFR is already on the Nova test server...

Re: SWG - EMU section
I know what he means, this SWG EMU has been talked about for well over three years, and the test server has been up for a long long time in one shape or another, with the final live server "just round the corner" for several years
Sad to say , last time i tried this EMU, well over 6 months ago, it was absolutely dire ! Character control was basically non existant and it rubberbanded more than the original ! Hope things have improved since then, but i think i will keep on waiting (years) for the soon to be released live server
Cantina dancing did bring back some awesome memories though, but i think now, given how longs it taken - they will only ever remain memories.

You need to try the EMU in its current state mate,Adifi wrote:I know what he means, this SWG EMU has been talked about for well over three years, and the test server has been up for a long long time in one shape or another, with the final live server "just round the corner" for several years

atm the only things missing are a couple of proffesions, vehicles and houses.... you can create a toon in any starting city of your choice (exactly as the original let you) you can grind said toon to full template, you can then unlock said toon into Jedi.... Missions work...Bazaar works.... Shuttles work...pretty much everything works ableit a few bugs here and there but nothing that really ruins gameplay.... Cantinas are full of Ents offering mind buffs.... Master Docs hang out in Med centres offering you buffs....Krayt hunts are once again happening .... NS and SMC are once again hunted on Dath.... CA's and AA's drop as they used to....Weps with nasty DOT's can be looted....all the good stuff is there as it used to be, the only thing missing is YOU

Re: SWG - EMU section
Sounds like its come a long way then, might be worth a shot !

Re: SWG - EMU section
If it took them 4 years to get it to live that's pretty good going, no?
Oh and the rubberbanding is put in intentionally, to prevent speed hackers or summut. Prertty sure it can be turned off when they like.

Re: SWG - EMU section
Is there any chance of the section, we are getting a fair few posts in the normal SWG section and we'd prefer them to be seperate even tho some of us are playing both.

Re: SWG - EMU section
Done. You may want to just move the posts from Private to the new EMU section to fill out a little content too.

Go into the relevant forum section, click the "Moderator Control Panel" option at the top, mark the topic(s) to move, scooch down to the bottom and click the "select desired action" dropdown and select "Move" then pick the SWG EMU section. Just tested it using your permissions, so you've definitely got the access levels to do it.
